FAQ
What is Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock?
An extended version of the classic game, invented by Sam Kass and popularized by The Big Bang Theory. It adds Lizard and Spock gestures, reducing the probability of draws.
Is the computer random?
Yes. We use the browser's built-in cryptographically secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues). Each computer choice is completely random and fair.
Where is the history saved?
History is saved in your browser's local storage (localStorage). It persists across sessions and is only deleted when you manually click the clear button.
What's the difference between Classic and Extended mode?
Classic mode has Rock, Paper, and Scissors. Extended mode adds Lizard and Spock, making five gestures total with more complex rules and fewer draws.
What are the win probabilities?
With a truly random computer, classic mode has roughly 33.3% for wins, losses, and draws each. Extended mode has roughly 40% wins, 40% losses, and 20% draws.
